KASIGAU CORRIDOR, KENYA HADITHI CRAFTS

Currently Hadithi provides work to more than 1000 local weavers. Hadithi means ‘story’ in Swahili, a name that is reflected in the products. Every basket comes with a card with the name of its weaver or of the group that produced the basket, often also with a photo.

Hadithi women organizations invigorate the local women. The profits generated by our sales go back directly to the Kasigau corridor region in Kenya. Solid Crafts also takes on a supportive role for the Hadithi women’s groups by helping them to build their commercial and business capacities, improving their product quality and their sales through joint marketing efforts. All these important skills are necessary to improve their lives overall.
